The cookout will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will be hosted by the SAHEC Advisory Council.

Students are invited to stop by the cookout on their way to class or after class to pick up hotdogs, chips, a soda and ice cream. Students will also have the opportunity to win giveaway prizes such as cash and gas cards.

Donations for the cookout have been provided by U.S. Bank, Good Humor Breyers, Noranda Aluminum, John Deere, Construction Trailer Specialists, Inc., and Cott Beverages.

Sikeston Area of Higher Education Advisory Council President Steve Matthews said, “This is the fourth picnic we’ve had for the students, and it is a great opportunity for the Advisory Council to meet students and see how they are progressing with their education. It also allows us to see the impact SAHEC has in assisting the students in furthering their educational and career opportunities in Southeast Missouri.”
