CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., March 29, 2012 – Students attending Southeast Missouri State University-Sikeston rolled up their sleeves as volunteer telethon panel members at the Kenny Rogers Children’s Center televised telethon March 25.
The students raised $600. In addition to the telethon, students have been fund raising over the last three weeks, and, in total, have raised more than $1,400 for the Kenny Rogers Center.
Students serving on the telethon panel were Alisha Henry of Sikeston, Amy Wren of Essex, Mo., and Dillon Sandlin of Dexter, Mo.
The Kenny Rogers Children’s Center improves the lives of children with special needs and their families by providing therapeutic services for the children. Occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy are offered at the center as well as at schools throughout the area.
