Feb. 5, 2009 – Southeast Missouri State University’s regional campuses in Sikeston and Malden, Mo., will reopen on Monday, Feb. 9, following the aftermath of the winter storm that impacted southeast Missouri last week.
Southeast’s programs in Poplar Bluff, Mo., also will resume on Monday, Feb. 9, provided the campus of Three Rivers Community College reopens that day.
However, due to power outages that continue to impact the Kennett, Mo., area, Southeast’s regional campus in Kennett will remain closed next week and reopen on Monday, Feb. 16. In addition, the semester has now been extended another week for Southeast’s Kennett campus, with final exams now set for the week of May 25 at Southeast Missouri State University-Kennett.
Recordings of ITV classes missed the week of Feb. 9-14 at the Kennett campus will be mailed directly to students; however, students may also travel to the Malden campus for all of their ITV classes next week. Students with questions should call (573) 986-6880.
Earlier this week, University officials announced that Southeast Missouri State University’s regional campuses in Sikeston, Malden and Kennett, Mo., will extend their spring semester by one week due to the devastating ice storm that moved through those areas.
Dr. Randy Shaw, associate provost of Extended Learning, said final exams at Southeast’s campuses in Malden and Sikeston are set for May 18-21.
