Six Southeast Faculty Granted Retirement with Emeritus Status

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Feb. 26, 2004 αΎ° The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents granted retirement with emeritus status to six faculty members during a closed session meeting of the Board today. Those granted emeritus status are as follows:

  • Frank Chong, professor, Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems, retired on June 30, 2003, having served from 1968-2003.
  • Benjamin Uzoaru, associate professor, Department of Economics and Finance, retired on July 31, 2003, having served from 1982-2003.
  • Roy Farris, professor, Department of Management and Marketing, will retire on May 31, 2004, having served from 1974-2004.
  • Gwinn Lovel, associate professor, Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology, retired on July 31, 2003, having served from 1969-2003.
  • Robert Gifford, professor, Department of Music, retired May 31, 2003, having served from 1981-2003.
  • Helen Hays, associate professor, Department of Computer Science, retired May 31, 2003, having served from 1979-2003.
