CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Jan. 17, 2013 – Dr. Bruce Skinner, assistant vice president for Student Success and director of Residence Life at Southeast Missouri State University, has earned designation as a certified auxiliary services professional through the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS).
Skinner supervises several auxiliary services at Southeast, including the Office of Residence Life, Recreation Services and the University Center, and he serves as the contract administrator for the University’s Campus Health Clinic contract with SoutheastHEALTH and dining services contract with Chartwells Educational Dining Services.
“The University will benefit in many ways from the training Dr. Skinner has earned through this certification,” said Dr. Debbie Below, vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Success and Dean of Students. “Auxiliary managers are responsible for facility management and facility master planning, managing complex budgets, developing student support programs, and managing personnel. His work with the auxiliary units he supervises is exemplary.”
NACAS is the largest auxiliary services support organization serving higher education. NACAS provides professional development and leadership opportunities necessary for its members to be successful as they support higher education through auxiliary/campus services in an ever-changing environment.
