‘Some Things You Need to Know Before The World Ends’ Coming to Lab Theatre March 30-April 3

The Department of Theatre and Dance presents the dark comedy, “Some Things You Need to Know Before the World Ends (A Final Evening with the Illuminati)” by Larry Larson and Levi Lee March 30-April 3 in the Lab Theatre.

Set in a post apocalyptic church sanctuary, this avant-garde comedy follows the ranting delusions of its paranoid main character, Rev. Eddie, played by Mike Culbertson, as he imagines himself in various ridiculous situations that constantly challenge religious and social conventions.

Reverend Eddie’s hunch-backed assistant, Brother Lawrence, expertly personified by Daniel Boughton, provides a hilarious contrast to Eddie’s ravings, although his mental capabilities are perhaps just as limited.

Especially for the curious and skeptical, this very funny play is not for those easily offended. You are invited to open your mind and attend “Some Things You Need to Know Before the World Ends (A Final Evening with the Illuminati),” directed by Dr. Kenn Stilson.

Affectionately called only “The Illuminati” by insiders, this play will run March 30-April 3 at 8 p.m., and again on April 3 at 11 p.m. All seats will be $8 and are on sale now. Please call the Performing Arts Box Office at (573) 651-2265 for tickets.
