Southeast Announces First-Day Spring Semester Enrollment

Total enrollment at Southeast Missouri State University is up 2.9 percent, according to a preliminary report compiled after the first full day of classes of the spring 2008 semester.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Jan. 15, 2008 – Total enrollment at Southeast Missouri State University is up 2.9 percent, according to a preliminary report compiled after the first full day of classes of the spring 2008 semester.

Classes at Southeast began Jan. 14.

Combined undergraduate and graduate student headcount stands at 9,107, up 2.9 percent from spring 2007.

Total undergraduate student headcount is 8,152, up 2.3 percent from this time last year.

Total graduate student headcount stands at 955, up 8.2 percent from this time last year.  

The official census report will be issued in four weeks.
