Southeast Bass Anglers Sport Club Advances Two to ESPN National Championships

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

July 20, 2006 – The Southeast Missouri State University Bass Anglers Sport Club advanced to the ESPN National Championships after two students placed first and second in the Saturday, July 15th competition. 

John Parsons, of Poplar Bluff, Mo and Todd Stanley of Chatham, IL will advance to represent Southeast Missouri State University at the ESPN National Bass Tournament, after Parsons finished with two fish and Stanley with one.

The Championship will be held August 27 and 29, 2006 on the Arkansas River. Teams will be able to start practice rounds on the river on August 25.

Parson, who is also the President of the Southeast Bass Anglers, along with his fellow teammates had the top five scores in the qualifying rounds. Greg Shaeffer took third with 193 points, Matt Blackburn and TJ Milcic tied for fourth finishing with 94 points each.
