Southeast Catholic Campus Ministry Sunday Planned for Oct. 7

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Sept. 21, 2007 — Catholic Campus Ministry at Southeast Missouri State University will celebrate its second annual Catholic Campus Ministry Sunday Oct. 7.

Students and members of the advisory board will be visiting area parishes on this side of the diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau to share the story of Catholic Campus Ministry’s outreach on the campus of Southeast.

“The help of the community is necessary for the success of this appeal, as we rely on many gifts and talents to ‘advance the mission’ of the Church on campus,” said Leslie Coalter, associate director/campus minister.

Catholic Campus Ministry has been serving young adults since 1914 and continues to be a vital presence not only on campus, but also in the surrounding area, she said.

“Catholic Campus Ministry is a place where faith is nurtured and leaders of tomorrow are enlightened and encouraged to follow Christ at all times,” Coalter said.

The community is invited to be a part of the future dreams of Catholic Campus Ministry at Southeast Missouri State University, and visitors are welcome at any time.
