Southeast Department of Theatre and Dance to Present Informal Dance Concert March 9-11

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Feb. 17, 2006 — The highly anticipated Spring Dance Concert at Southeast Missouri State University is scheduled for 8 p.m. March 9-11 in Parker Dance Studio.

The dance faculty and students will combine forces to present an exciting collection of diverse pieces, including modern, hip-hop, jazz and lyrical styles. The highlight of this show will be the strong student presence, as senior-level students showcase their original work as they prepare to embark on their professional careers. A piece choreographed by the talented sophomore, Marissa Crozier of O’Fallon, Mo., also will be featured in the Informal Dance Concert at the American College Dance Festival later this spring in Wichita, Kan. This show will be an excellent opportunity to see fantastic dance and choreography by students on the cusp of their creative lives, as they integrate their education with their own individual styles and specific talents.

Tickets for the Spring Dance Concert will be offered at a one-time-only reduced rate of $6 per ticket.  Patrons are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance, as seating will be very limited.
