Southeast Hosting Eastern Missouri Distance Learning Summit

Southeast faculty and staff interested in learning more about distance education are encouraged to attend the Third Annual Eastern Missouri Distance Learning Summit on June 27 in the Dempster Atrium.

The summit is co-founded by Southeast Online and will bring together 75-100 faculty and staff from approximately 12 institutions to discuss distance education in eastern Missouri. Topics of discussion include teaching with technology, online education, distance learning, adult learners, e-Leadership and course design.

Keynote speaker Dr. Julie Schell, executive director for learning design at the School of Learning Design and Creative Technologies at the University of Texas-Austin, will present “The Other Side of Online Learning Innovation: 3 Reasons Why Promising Projects Fail in Higher Education.”
