CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Jan. 20, 2016 Southeast Missouri State Universitys Master of Business Administration (MBA) program has been ranked this week as one of the Top 50 Affordable MBA Programs in 2016 by Top Management Degrees.
Southeasts MBA ranked eighth nationally and the most affordable MBA in Missouri, with more than 180 students currently pursuing the degree.
The recent rating by Top Management Degrees placing our MBA in the top 50 affordable MBA programs of 2016 is a very special honor, says Dr. Gary Johnson, interim dean of the Donald L. Harrison College of Business. This rating affirms the hard work of Dr. Ken Heischmidt, director of Graduate Business Studies and his team, in creating a high quality, yet affordable MBA program.
In these tough economic times, students must make hard choices for their advanced degree where, what option and when to commit scarce resources, he said.
This ranking looked at more than 500 schools in the United States that hold accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, which is the gold standard for business school accreditors. Data was then gathered from AACSB International, the National Center for Education Statistics and the individual program websites. Top Management Degrees assessed schools based on in-state tuition and fees, as recorded on the AACSB website.
It is gratifying to know that in the wider world of advanced business education, we rank very high when it comes to the affordability/quality proposition, Johnson says. Top Management Degrees recognizes our value. We are thrilled to be included in their Top 50 rating.
The MBA Program in Southeasts Harrison College of Business is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), an honor held by only 20 percent of colleges in the country and fewer than 400 MBA programs worldwide. Southeast offers students many ways to earn their MBA from the traditional method to online or accelerated. Degree options are available in accounting, environmental management, financial management, general management, industrial management, international business, health administration, entrepreneurship, and sport management.
