Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra to be Topic of March 12 ‘Going Public’

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

March 6, 2006 – The Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra and their upcoming concert will be the topic on KRCU’s “Going Public” program scheduled to air at 3 p.m. March 12.

The guests will be Sara Edgerton, professor of music at Southeast Missouri State University and director of the Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra; Emily Grannemann of Hillsboro, Mo., (bassoon); Jason Weaver of Jackson, Mo., (guitar); and Timothy Weddle of Jefferson City, Mo., (string bass), all of whom are winners of this year’s Concerto and Aria Competition. The panel will discuss the Orchestra and their upcoming concert on March 14.        “Going Public” is hosted by Tom Harte and Mary Miller. The program airs every Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. on 90.9 FM, KRCU.
