Southeast Music Academy Offering ‘Piano in a Flash’ for Adults

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Dec. 22, 2008 – The Southeast Missouri Music Academy at Southeast Missouri State University is offering an adult piano class beginning Jan. 26. 

The eight-week class will meet on Monday evenings. “Piano in a Flash” will take place from 6:45-7:45 p.m.

The popular “Piano in a Flash” is for beginners or those wishing to brush up on beginning skills learned in the past.  Instruction will begin at “square one” and is taught in a light, relaxed atmosphere. Skills covered include note and rhythm identification, proper hand position, basic chord structure and ensemble playing.  

The class will be held in the electronic piano lab in the Seminary Building at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.  Students must be at least 18 years of age and have access to a piano on a daily basis.  For more information or to enroll, contact the Southeast Missouri Music Academy at (573) 651-2378 or online at www.semomusicacademy.org.
