Southeast S.H.O.W. Mobile to Offer Free Autism Screenings in Dexter April 29

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 25, 2011ᾰTo celebrate Autism Awareness Month, the Southeast Missouri State University S.H.O.W. Mobile and the University’s Autism Center for Diagnosis and Treatment will team up April 29 to offer free developmental screenings for autism in children from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter, Mo.

Parents and guardians of children ages 2 to 5 years old who have concerns about their child’s development are invited to complete screening activities with Dr. Victoria Moore, licensed clinical psychologist and the Autism Center’s diagnostic evaluator, and other associates from the Center.  Information on developmental milestones and early signs of risk for autism spectrum disorder will also be available.

The screenings will be offered at 18555 Lighthouse Drive, Highway 60, Dexter, Mo.
