Southeast Show Me Day to Go on as Planned Feb. 2

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Feb. 1, 2008 – Southeast Missouri State University’s “Show Me Day,” an open house event, will go on as planned on Feb. 2.

While much of Missouri experienced inclement weather on Thursday, classes at Southeast Missouri State University were in session on Friday and offices were open as scheduled as Cape Girardeau received only a few inches of snow. Southeast’s Facilities Management staff members have cleared streets and sidewalks, and the campus is fully accessible.

Admissions staff representatives urge Show Me Day participants to come prepared for a walking tour of the campus.  Students and parents are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and warm attire as they will be walking outside between buildings.

The day will begin at 10 a.m. in the Show Me Center, with registration opening at 9:30 a.m.  Show Me Day will give students and their family the opportunity to tour campus, eat in a Southeast dining facility, meet Southeast students, visit residence halls, and speak with Southeast faculty and staff.

If you have questions, please contact the Southeast Office of Admissions at (573) 651-2590 or admissions@semo.edu.
