Southeast Sororities Devote Evening to Community Service

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Aug. 29, 2003 –Southeast Missouri State University’s Panhellenic Council, the governing body of the campus sororities, will be hosting its annual Philanthropy night on Thursday, Sept. 4.

The evening, which will take place at the University Center, will consist of various service projects for chapter members and potential members of the sororities, including making IV bag covers, sock puppets for the Children’s Hospital and bags for the Women’s Safe House, as well as decorating flower pots for assisted living communities.  The items then will be donated to local charitable organizations and hospitals.
