Southeast Student Awarded Athletic Training Scholarship

Jessica Myers is the first student from Southeast Missouri State University to receive the Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association’s Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., May 1, 2006ᾰJessica Myers of Cameron, Mo., a senior at Southeast Missouri State University, was awarded the Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association’s Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship. 

Myers is graduating May 13 with a major in health management with an option in athletic training.

The Association’s district includes North Dakota, South Dakota, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa.  Students applying for the scholarship must be majoring in athletic training and have achieved a high level of academic success.  Applicants must submit an essay and letters of recommendation when applying for the scholarship. 

Myers is the first student from Southeast to receive the award.
