Southeast’s College of Education Honors Area Partners as ‘Redhawk Schools’

Southeast Missouri State University’s College of Education recognized its top area school partners as “Redhawk Schools” for mentoring Southeast’s teacher candidates during ceremonies today in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week.

Twenty-one area schools met the criteria as Redhawk Schools this year, with the top awards going to East Elementary in Jackson, Missouri, in the elementary, early childhood and special education category; Cape Junior High School in the middle and junior high school category; and Cape Career and Technology Center in the secondary high school category.

Dr. Diana Rogers-Adkinson, dean of the Southeast College of Education, presented school officials with a certificate and plaque. Rogers-Adkinson recognized the schools for their extraordinary partnership participation.
