Southeast’s SBTDC Offering Quickbooks Online Trainings

InnovationCenter_2011The Small Business Technology and Development Center (SBTDC) at Southeast Missouri State University is offering several QuickBooks Online trainings this summer for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor Michelle Kirkman will teach the trainings. Kirkman, owner of Michelle Kirkman Bookkeeping in Sikeston, Missouri, specializes in QuickBooks set up, inventory set up, accounts receivable/payable, general maintenance, and payroll liabilities and services.

“I look forward to the opportunity to provide entrepreneurs and business owners with the QuickBooks Online knowledge they need to successfully run their businesses,” Kirkman said “QuickBooks Online is an easy and affordable addition to any business and now is the perfect time to receive professional training to aid in your business’ growth.”

The three trainings are organized into two sessions each and will be held at the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship located at 920 Broadway in Cape Girardeau.

Getting Started in QuickBooks Online

Dates: July 12 and 14

Times: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $79

This training will show you how to set up and navigate your QuickBooks Online account to fit your business’ needs. By the end, you will be able to personalize your accounts and settings to suit your style and preferences.

 Recording Transactions in QuickBooks Online

Dates: July 19 and 21

Times: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $79

This training will show you how to record transactions and how to integrate a POS (point of sale) system with your QuickBooks Online account. By the end, you will be comfortable using your QuickBooks Online account for your business’ transactions.

Expanding Usability/Payments & Payroll in QuickBooks Online

Dates: July 26 and 28

Times: 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $99

This training will show you how to set up payroll and payroll taxes in your QuickBooks Online account. You will also learn about QuickBooks payments and how to set up your account to accept payments.

The cost includes both sessions of each training topic and a trial QuickBooks Online account to work in during the sessions. Discounts are available for those who wish to attend more than one with discount bundles for two trainings (four sessions total) for only $135 and all three trainings (six sessions total) for $195. Attendees will need to bring their own laptop computer to use or make arrangements with the SBTDC before registering to borrow one to use.
