Spring Choral Concert to be Held April 22 at River Campus

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

April 8, 2010 – The Southeast Missouri State University Department of Music’s Ensemble Series will continue on Tuesday, April 22, with a 7:30 p.m. program featuring the University Choir, and the chamber choir Cantus Choralis. The performance will take place in the Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall in the Seminary Building located on Southeast’s River Campus.  Selections on this concert include choruses from Handel’s “Messiah” that were not performed at the recent symphony concert, arrangements of hymns from “The Sacred Harp” by St. Louis composer Martha Shaffer, short selections by Lassus, Mendelssohn, and Halsey Stevens, and choral arrangements of the music of Rodgers & Hart.TICKETSTickets may be purchased by contacting the River Campus Box Office, located in the Cultural Arts Center, 518 S.
