St. Louis Students Named Recreational Services Student Employee of the Month

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Oct. 11, 2006 — Adam Rose and Charles Jones, both of St. Louis, have been named student employees of the month by Recreation Services at Southeast Missouri State University.

An intramural sports supervisor and a junior at Southeast, Rose has stepped up in assisting in the Recreation Services office. He is an aspiring professional golfer who plans to use the skills he is gaining now in his student position, along with his academic work in sports management, to his advantage with his future endeavors, said Troy Vaughn, director of Recreation Services.

Jones, a sophomore, is an intramural sports supervisor. A computer informationsystems major and business administration minor, he has gone above and beyond the call of duty in assisting with shifts when other supervisors could not in the minor sports, Vaughn said.

“Charles is an individual with excellent customer service skills and an outstanding work ethic,” Vaughn said, adding Jones hopes to be a Web site designer after graduating from Southeast.
