Student Aquatic Center Tie-In Necessitates Air Conditioning Shut-Down in Student Recreation Center-North

Air conditioning to a portion of the Student Recreation Center (SRC)-North facility at Southeast Missouri State University has been shut down to necessitate a tie-in for the new Student Aquatic Center.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Aug. 28, 2007 — Air conditioning to a portion of the Student Recreation Center (SRC)-North facility at Southeast Missouri State University has been shut down to necessitate a tie-in for the new Student Aquatic Center, officials with the Department of Recreation Services said today.

The shut down will affect the areas of the weight room, main offices, west gym, lower cardio, multipurpose rooms and the dance studio. The shut-down is expected to last through Thursday, Aug. 30. Areas of the East Gymnasium (upper cardio, locker rooms, track and racquetball courts) are unaffected by this shutdown and will operate normally.

For Southeast students and SRC members, the Student Recreation Center–South is fully operation and available to use in lieu of SRC-North. The SRC-South is located at 926 Bellevue, just southeast of Houck Stadium.

The Department of Recreation Services apologizes for any inconveniences this shut-down may cause.
