Student Nurse Association Holding Blood Drive Oct. 31 at Southeast

The Southeast Missouri State University Student Nurse Association is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive Oct. 31 on the University campus.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

Oct. 17, 2007 – The Southeast Missouri State University Student Nurse Association is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive Oct. 31 on the University campus.

The drive is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Dempster Hall. All donors will receive a complimentary T-shirt.

In the Missouri-Illinois Region, healthy individuals 17 years of age and older (16 with a signed American Red Cross parental or legal guardian consent form) and weighing 110 pounds or more are eligible to donate blood.  Federal regulations require whole blood donors to wait 56 days between donations.  Platelet donors can donate as many as 24 times a year.
