Students Showcasing their Work in ‘Fall for Dance’ Recital

Fall for DanceCAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Nov. 15, 2012 – Students in the Southeast Missouri State University Department of Theatre and Dance will be showcased in the biannual student dance recital, “Fall for Dance 2012,” at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29-Dec.1 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 1 in the Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus.

The performance will feature breathtaking dance and technique full of fascinating and impressive choreography by faculty, guest professionals and students.  It will showcase different dance styles including ballet, modern, jazz and tap.

“This year we have written a grant to produce an important piece in dance history titled ‘Psalms,’” said Philip Edgecombe, artistic coordinator for “Fall for Dance.”  “The dance is choreographed by Jose Limon (1908-1972), one of the greatest American choreographers.”
