The “Take-Away Friday” series of faculty development presents “Mindfulness and Scholarship at noon Dec. 9 in Brandt Hall Room 1. This week, the Office of Instructional Technology and the Center for Scholarship in Teaching and Learning continue to discuss how mindfulness, the practice of training our attention, is simply about paying attention to what’s happening here and now in a non-judgmental way. This session will examine the benefits of mindfulness, including reduced stress and anxiety and increased focus and intellectual performance (so you can finally make progress on that research!). This session will provide time to practice a few mindful writing exercises and self-care techniques. Come and hear what our presenters have to say! As always, lunch is provided.
