University Choir to Perform April 14

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 13, 2011ᾰThe Southeast Missouri State University Choir will perform its last concert of the spring semester at 7 p.m. April 14 in the Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall at the River Campus.

The Cantus Choralis will join them in the performance which features music composed from the late 15th century through the 21st century. 

Chipriano de Rore’s “Descendit in hortum meum,” David Bednall’s “If ye love me,” Randall Thompson’s ever-popular “Alleluia” and a 36-part canon by Johannes Ockeghemare are among the pieces in the concert.

Tickets are available at the door or in advance at the River Campus Box Office, located in the Cultural Arts Center, 518 S. Fountain Street. The River Campus Box Office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Box Office also may be reached at (573) 651-2265.  General admissions tickets are $8 for the general public, $7 for faculty and staff, and $3 for Southeast students.
