Vargas Presents Two Southeast Shout-Out Awards

Southeast President Carlos Vargas recently presented two Southeast Shout-Out Awards.

Congratulations to Floyd Lockhart of Academic Computing, and Logann Driskell, Dearmont Hall director.

Lockhart was nominated by Dr. Bruce Skinner, assistant vice president for student success and auxiliary services, for his dedicated work in successfully handling the Pearson online resources failure at the start of the fall 2016 semester and for providing students with assistance as they navigate the Moodle system.

Driskell was nominated by Kathy Mangels, vice president for finance and administration, for her dedicated and outstanding work in handling the Dearmont power outage during the second week of classes this fall and for her kindness in assisting 51 students relocate to alternate housing.

Southeast Shout-Out awards celebrate University employees who put forth the extra effort to help, challenge and inspire students, and do whatever it takes to get the job done while encouraging others along the way.
