Join Southeast students, faculty, and staff in supporting the United Way of Southeast Missouri during a weekend devoted to giving back to the surrounding community. The United Days of Caring will kick-off three days of service beginning with breakfast at Capaha Park’s Family Pavilion from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9. Over the weekend, community members will work together to help organizations including the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, St. James AME Church, the Safe House for Women, the Salvation Army, and more. The concluding event is a 9/11 ceremony beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Cape County Courthouse Gazebo, located on Lorimier Street in downtown Cape Girardeau. A family-friendly celebration will follow the ceremony. All ages and skill levels can participate in this weekend of community improvement.
