CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Oct. 21, 2011 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today appointed Rhonda Weller-Stilson and reappointed Dr. Ron Rosati to the River Campus Board of Managers.
Weller-Stilson, associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts and director of the Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts at Southeast, will fill a vacant position formerly held by the late Dr. Gary Miller who passed away May 4. Weller-Stilson’s term expires Dec. 1, 2012.
Rosati, provost at Southeast, will serve a term expiring Dec. 1, 2014.
Weller-Stilson holds the rank of professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance and was chair of the Department from 2008 to earlier this year. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in both art and theatre from Southeast, a Master of Arts in theatre from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Fine Arts in costume and scenery design from Tulane University. She is in her 11th year at Southeast.
Rosati holds an Associate of Applied Science in agronomy from Farmingdale Agricultural and Technical College, Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees in agricultural education from Cornell University, and a doctorate in agricultural education from Iowa State University.
A cooperative agreement between Southeast Missouri State University and the City of Cape Girardeau calls for the Cape Girardeau City Council and the University to each appoint three members to the River Campus Board of Managers.
In addition to Weller-Stilson and Rosati, Swayne Byrd also serves as a University representative on the Board of Managers. City representatives on the Board of Managers are Jerry Ford, Ruth Knote and Dennis Vollink.
