Winners Announced for Third Annual Outstanding Early Childhood Award

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.,

June 17, 2008 – Child Care Resource and Referral, United Way/Success by Six and Bank of Missouri presented the third annual Outstanding Early Childhood Award May 17 at the Annual Provider Appreciation Brunch, held at Southeast Missouri State University.

Winners are as follows:

• Kara Amos, from Just Kids in Cape Girardeau, was named the Outstanding Early Childhood Director affiliated with a licensed center in the community.• Sharla Gaddy, from Just Kids in Cape Girardeau, was named the Outstanding Early Childhood Teacher affiliated with a licensed center in the community.• Becky Stull, from Christian School for the Young Years, was named the Outstanding Early Childhood Teacher affiliated with a licensed center in the community.• Linda Holt, from Oak Ridge Early Learning Center, was named the Outstanding Early Childhood Director affiliated with a public school or university.• Becky Moore, from the University Child Enrichment Center, was named the Outstanding Early Childhood Teacher affiliated with a public school or university (not pictured).

In addition, on behalf of Week of the Young Child’s Messy Morning, a check was issued to the Community Caring Council’s Family Transition Team in the amount of $2,005.
