10th Annual Gala Pre-Concert Dinner to Help Support Symphony Students

The 10th Annual Gala Pre-Concert Dinner designed to raise funds for symphony student scholarships is scheduled for Friday, April 13, in the John and Betty Glenn Convocation Center at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.

This year, the Gala Dinner will precede the guest appearance of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, which is returning to Southeast’s River Campus to perform at 7:30 p.m. April 13 in the Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall.

Several representatives of the St. Louis Symphony will be in attendance at the dinner as special guests.

“Our first Gala Dinner took place in conjunction with a concert by the St. Louis Symphony at the River Campus, and I am thrilled that our 10th Annual Gala Dinner will also take place on the same evening as their performance this year,” said Dr. Sara Edgerton, professor of music and conductor of the Southeast Missouri Symphony.

The theme of this year’s dinner is “If music is the food of love, play on!”

“This special dinner is a wonderful way to celebrate music and support our talented students as they grow and develop in their studies here at Southeast,” Edgerton said.

There are a limited number of seats available for the 10th Annual Gala Dinner. The deadline for purchasing tickets to this elegant meal is Tuesday, April 3. To RSVP or for more information, contact Beverly Delph at (573) 651-2141 or bdelph@semo.edu.
