Motion Walking Program, HSA Credits Delayed

The Motion Walking Program is a United Healthcare program that has continued under the UMR insurance plan. In the past, earned credits were sent directly from United Healthcare to Optum Bank and generally deposited into individual accounts by the 10th to 15th of the month following the earnings quarter. Beginning in January 2020, UnitedHealthcare reports the credits to UMR which, in turn, validates and sends to Optum Bank. This has resulted in the credits taking longer to deposit into employees’ individual HSA accounts. Human Resources is aware of the delay and is currently working with UMR to transition the deposits as quickly as possible. Employees should expect all future earnings to be deposited closer to the end of the month following the earnings period. For more information, contact Human Resources at (573) 651-2206 or humanresources@semo.edu.
