Southeast Students Honored with Power of Women Scholarships

Ten Southeast Missouri State University students have been honored with Power of Women Scholarships. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ninth annual Power of Women luncheon was canceled. Ashley AuBuchon-Arcand, a 2008 Southeast graduate and lead digital activist and executive program manager at IBM, was to have served as this year’s keynote speaker. This year’s recipients are being honored with a special video presentation.

Hyperflex Informational Webinar May 13-14

Southeast staff are invited to attend an informational Zoom webinar May 13 at 3 p.m. or May 14 at 9 a.m. regarding the Hyperflex pilot occurring at Southeast during the Fall 2020 semester. In a Hyperflex course, “students can choose between a variety of delivery modes, adapting their strategy to suit their needs and preferences at any time, without sacrificing the efficacy of their learning." Southeast Missouri completed its men's basketball staff with the addition of Sam McMahon and Aaron Procter May 6. McMahon joins the Redhawks as an assistant coach, while Proctor will serve as the program's director of operations.

Four Redhawks Represented on St. Louis Post-Dispatch All-Decade Fall Softball Team

Three current Southeast Missouri softball players and one former standout were named to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch All-Decade Fall Softball Team. Ashley Ellis, Kaylee Anderson and Carlie Sanders along with former pitching great Madeline Krumrey earned the recognition. Ellis, Sanders and Krumrey garnered second-team accolades, while Anderson was named to the third-team.

Southeast Missouri women's tennis coach Mary Beth Gunn announced May 7 the signing of Daniela Hláciková for the 2020-2021 season. Hláciková signed with the Redhawks in November 2019 during the early signing period.
