Redhawks Reveal Refreshed Spirit Marks

Southeast Missouri State University has unveiled refreshed spirit marks, including a new primary logo, wordmark and variations for its 15 athletic programs. The redesign features an official brand font to complement the marks, and a focused emphasis on 'SEMO' as the preferred reference for the University in Athletics and less formal communications. These logos are the first update to the University's spirit branding since the Redhawk was introduced in 2005.

Student-Athletes Begin Returning to Campus July 5

Southeast Missouri student-athletes will begin returning to campus this weekend, Director of Athletics Brady Barke announced on Tuesday, June 29. SEMO is taking a phased approach that allows student-athletes and staff to return to campus for practice and competition in the safest manner possible. The Redhawk football team will be the first back on campus July 5 and other student-athletes will voluntarily return over the remainder of the summer.

Football Game vs. Dayton Canceled

Southeast Missouri and Dayton jointly announced that their season-opening football game scheduled for Sept. 3 has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Football Game Notes Recognized in CoSIDA Publications & Digital Design Contest

Magill Hall, Polytechnic Building Power Outage Scheduled for July 3

Facilities Management has contracted with KT Power for a full replacement of the electrical transformer located at the south exterior of the Otto and Della Seabaugh Polytechnic Building. The replacement will occur on Friday, July 3, between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Electric service will be turned off to Magill Hall and the Polytechnic Building in the morning hours of the replacement. The electric service will remain off during most of the day. Steam, hot water, fire alarms, fire sprinklers and elevators will also be turned off during this time frame. Summer Concrete Repairs Announced

Facilities Management is repairing concrete at various locations across campus. The campus community is asked to use caution when driving or walking near construction sites. PPE, Cleaning Supplies Ordering Guidance Issued

Facilities Management will be assisting the campus community in the purchasing of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning supplies. Approved supplies must be purchased through Facilities Management. Guidance on ordering PPE and cleaning supplies and an order form is available at semo.edu/sealerts/covid19/employee under the Departmental Supplies category.

Payroll Paper Check Pickup at Show Me Center Box Office; Timesheet Processes Remain Unchanged

All timesheet submissions, approvals and pay dates will remain unchanged while the University is transitioning back to on-campus offices. All payroll paper checks will continue to be picked up at the Show Me Center Box Office (located on the outside of the east side of the building) until the end of August. Show Me Center, American Red Cross Hosting Community Blood Drive July 8-9
