US Bank to Reopen Aug. 10

US Bank, located at the University Center inside the Southeast Bookstore, will reopen on Aug. 10 with operating hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Beginning Aug. 17, the operating hours will change from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Face coverings will be required when transacting business at the branch.


Deadline Aug. 24 for Fall 2020 Dependent Tuition Reimbursement Application

New Dependent Tuition applications must be submitted through the Southeast portal by the first day, of the first semester, in which the employee is eligible for dependent tuition reimbursement. The fall 2020 application deadline is Aug. 24. Employees will only need to complete an application, for new dependents, for their first semester taking classes. Dependents will automatically receive the benefit in future semesters without requiring the employee to complete an application. Complete eligibility requirements can be found in the Business Policy and Procedure Manual under Dependent Tuition Reimbursement Program. Questions may be directed to Human Resources (573) 651-2206.

CTL 'Fall Institute' Presents 'Mixed Delivery Teaching Method Q&A'

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) continues its "Fall Institute" workshop series of faculty development presentations on Aug. 5 at 1 p.m. and Aug. 6 at 10 a.m., in Kent Library Room 215 with “Mixed Delivery Teaching Method Q&A.” These sessions will be presented by Dr. Doug Koch, Southeast vice provost, and CTL staff, and will cover how to teach classes with the mixed delivery method, which is not the same as blended. Faculty/Staff Portrait Day is Aug. 12

The next Portrait Day is scheduled for Aug. 12 from noon-1 p.m. on the main floor of Kent Library, for faculty and staff members wishing to have a portrait-style photograph taken for departmental Web pages or other publications. No appointments are necessary. Participants must follow social distancing guidelines while waiting and wear a face covering until asked to remove it for their photo. Additional Portrait Days this semester will be Sept. 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Magill Hall second floor lounge; Oct. 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the River Campus Atrium; and Nov. 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the main floor of Kent Library.

Ole Miss Game Canceled After SEC Approves 10-Game Conference Only Schedule

Southeast Missouri's football game with Football Bowl Subdivision and Southeastern Conference (SEC) member Ole Miss has been canceled. On Thursday, July 30, SEC presidents and chancellors approved a 10-game conference only schedule for the fall that begins on Sept. 26. SEMO and Ole Miss were scheduled to meet on Sept. 12 in Oxford, Mississippi.
