Facilities Management has contracted with Johnson Controls for fire alarm and sprinkler system inspections through Jan. 17. Testing technicians will be inspecting components of the fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Facilities Management will be conducting the annual state elevator inspections today, Jan. 8, through Jan. 10 and Jan. 13-17. Dr. William Bratberg has been appointed interim chair of the Department of Leadership, Middle and Secondary Education. Bratberg will fill the chair position formerly held by the late Dr. C.P. Gause. Southeast Missouri’s men’s basketball team opens a four-game home stand when it plays host to Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) preseason favorite Belmont University on Thursday, Jan. 9. Tip-off is set for 7:15 p.m. at the Show Me Center. The Redhawk women’s gymnastics team will compete in the Alaska Trip-Meet in Anchorage, Alaska, on Friday, Jan. 10. Southeast Missouri faces the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and host University of Alaska-Anchorage in the event. The Redhawks will then face Alaska-Anchorage in a dual meet on Sunday, Jan. 12.

Southeast Missouri senior inside linebacker Zach Hall was named to the 2019 Walter Camp FCS All-America Team on Monday, Jan. 6. Hall picked up his fifth different FCS All-America honor.
