Southeast Serves Hosting Trick-or-Treat Drive-Thru Oct. 31
The Southeast and local community are invited to Halloween Candyland Expressway, an alternative trick-or-treating experience hosted by Southeast Serves, the University's community service organization, on Oct. 31 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in Capaha Park. Kids ages 10 and under can ride with a parent/guardian through the Candyland Expressway dressed in their Halloween costume to receive goodies. Face coverings will be required, and social distancing guidelines will be in place.

Retirement Reception Oct. 28 for Kathy Mangels
Kathy Mangels, vice president for finance and administration, is retiring after 25 years at Southeast. A retirement reception will be held from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, on the Academic Terraces. In the event of bad weather, the reception will be held in the Show Me Center meeting rooms. The campus community is invited to attend. Face coverings will be required, and social distancing guidelines will be in place.

Discounted Faculty, Staff Tickets Available for Wind Symphony Fall Concert
Southeast faculty and staff are eligible for discounted tickets for the Wind Symphony's opening concert of the 2020-2021 season presented by the Department of Music at the River Campus at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 27. Tickets may be purchased at the River Campus Box Office, Show Me Center Box Office, or Athletics Box Office. A valid faculty or staff ID must be presented when purchasing.

VStar Entertainment Group announces PAW Patrol Live! “The Great Pirate Adventure” performances scheduled for Nov. 17-18 (originally scheduled for March 24-25) at the Show Me Center have been rescheduled to May 18-19, 2021. NESTFLIX Series Continues Today with 'Hocus Pocus'
The next installment of the NESTFLIX series is today, Oct. 23. "Hocus Pocus" will be shown on the Houck Stadium videoboard at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees may bring chairs and/or blankets to sit on the field or in the grandstand.

Former Southeast Missouri women's basketball player Katie Norman is in this week's Alumni Spotlight presented by SoutheastHEALTH. Norman played two seasons at SEMO from 2009-2011 before her career ended due to a severe back injury. She averaged 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in 57 games and 45 starts as a Redhawk. Norman collected 54 steals, dished out 92 assists and recorded 21 blocks, as well.
