Southeast Observing Patriot Day in Remembrance of 9/11

Southeast is observing Patriot Day today in remembrance of the fallen who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Southeast Announces Expansion of Test Optional Admissions, Scholarships

Southeast Missouri State University today announced the expansion of its test optional admissions and scholarship offerings available to beginning freshmen entering Southeast in fall 2021 to increase access to higher education. University, Cape Police Conducting Training Exercises Sept. 16 in Henderson Hall

Southeast’s University Police and the Cape Girardeau Police Department will conduct Special Response Teams (SRT) training exercises on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The training will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at Henderson Hall, located at 373 N. Henderson. As part of the training, police vehicles, equipment and personnel will be on Southeast’s main campus. The Henderson Hall parking lot and spaces in Parking Lot 1-22, north of Henderson Hall, will be closed. BOGO Faculty, Staff Tickets Available for 'Reflections'

Buy one get one free tickets are available for "Reflections" presented by the Department of Music at Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 15. A maximum of two tickets may be purchased with two free tickets received. Tickets may be purchased at the River Campus Box Office, Show Me Center Box Office or Athletics Box Office. A valid faculty or staff ID must be presented when purchasing.

Athletics Alumni Spotlight: Daryl Gist

Daryl Gist is in this week's Southeast Missouri Alumni Spotlight presented by SoutheastHEALTH. A native of San Diego, California, Gist played wide receiver at SEMO for two seasons in 2007 and 2008. He caught 11 passes for 180 yards and one touchdown in 16 games over his Division I career with the Redhawks.
