The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) continues the “Take-Away Friday” series of faculty development presentations at noon Sept. 25th on Zoom. “College as an Irrational Space” will be presented by Dr. Monica Radu, assistant professor of sociology, Torie Grogan, counselor with the Center for Behavioral Health and Accessibility, and Donna St. Sauver, coordinator of the Campus Violence Prevention Program. This session will cover how education emphasizes the rational over the irrational, and we're missing a huge chunk of the picture. By capitalizing on the emotional aspect of the student experience, we create a far richer and more tolerant learning experience for all involved. For more information and to register, visit cstl.semo.edu/event.

Students may not have time to travel home or to off campus locations for attending the synchronous sessions. For that reason, IT has identified spaces on the main and Regional Campuses for students can use to participate in their Zoom meetings.
