Tornado Warning Sirens Being Tested Dec. 4

Southeast will test its tornado warning siren system at noon Wednesday, Dec. 4. This system is tested regularly at noon on the first Wednesday of each month. Those on or near campus can expect to hear the sirens sound outside at noon, and those in residence halls will hear an indoor alert. 'Take-Away Friday' Continues Dec. 6 with Lecture on Employee Rights and Academic Freedom

The Center for Scholarship in Teaching and Learning continues the "Take-Away Friday" series of faculty development presentations at noon Dec. 6 in the Jean Ann Whitaker Model Classroom in the EDvolution Center, Scully Room 209. "Southeast Employee Rights, Academic Freedom at the Different Levels of Employment at the University" will be presented by Dr. Tamara Zellars Buck, multimedia journalism coordinator and associate professor of mass media. SmartEval 2020 Schedule Announced

Timelines for all SmartEvals events during 2020 (AY 2021) have been established. Events include faculty special requests of adding additional questions, aggregating courses for combined evaluation, handling teaching assistant sections separately, and using chairperson requested departmental evaluations. Dates assigned for evaluation access by students are also provided in this schedule. Garcia Named Director of Institute for Cybersecurity

Buy one get one free tickets are available for the "Southeast Dance Project" presented by The Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance at the River Campus at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7. A maximum of two tickets may be purchased with two free tickets received. Tickets can be purchased at the River Campus Box Office, Show Me Center Box Office or Athletics Box Office. Southeast Missouri Faces #9 Kentucky in NCAA Volleyball Tournament

Southeast Missouri's volleyball team will face #9 University of Kentucky in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, Dec. 6. Start time is 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, Kentucky. The match will air live on SEC Network+. SEMO is in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament for the first time in 19 years.

There will be a special send-off for the Redhawks volleyball team on Thursday, Dec. 5. The team will depart for the NCAA Tournament from Houck Field House at 8:30 a.m.

Football Ends 2019 Season

The 2019 Ohio Valley Conference Champion Redhawk football team wrapped up the season with a 9-4 overall record. Southeast Missouri recorded back-to-back winning seasons and NCAA FCS Playoff appearances for the first time in its Division I era.
