This Saturday's Relay for Life Relocated to Rec Center

Due to forecasted rain on Saturday, April 22, the Relay for Life of Cape County scheduled for 6-10 p.m. has been relocated from Capaha Park to the Student Recreation Center. Parking is available in the lots located to the west of the building. Campsites will only be provided with one table, but teams are allowed to bring additional tables if needed. Dedication of New Center for Speech and Hearing Planned May 5

A dedication ceremony for the new Center for Speech and Hearing will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 5. The new building is helping better serve the needs of the Center's clients and features therapy rooms, two labs, rooms for diagnostic services and audiological testing, a clinical kitchen, an observation lounge, offices and a student workroom. In addition, a presentation by Dr. Cynthia Fox, vice president and co-founder of LSVT Global, Inc., and a 1992 Southeast graduate, is scheduled at 3 p.m. in Crisp Hall Room 125. Athletics Holds Fourth Annual 'SAAC by SAAC' Awards Show

Southeast Missouri's Department of Athletics hosted its Fourth Annual Student-Athlete Awards Ceremony organized by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Wednesday night in Academic Hall Auditorium.

Baseball Set for Altered Series at Murray State

The Redhawks return to OVC action when they travel to Murray State for a three-game series. Due to forecasted rain in the region over the weekend, the series will now begin with a doubleheader today, April 21 at 1 p.m. Game three is scheduled to be played Saturday, April 22 at 2 p.m., weather permitting. All games are broadcast live on the radio at ESPN 92.9 FM.

Softball Hosts Two Doubleheaders This Weekend

The Redhawks softball team opens a six-game homestand when it hosts Morehead State Saturday, April 22 and Eastern Kentucky Sunday, April 23. First pitch for Saturday's doubleheader is 1 p.m., while Sunday's twin bill is slated to start at noon.

Tennis Opens OVC Tournament Play

The Redhawks women's tennis teams opens play the Ohio Valley Conference Championship today, April 21. Fifth-seeded Southeast faces fourth-seeded Eastern Illinois at 10 a.m. This year's championship is held at the Centennial Sportsplex Tennis Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Forward Isaiah Gable Signs with Redhawks

Southeast Missouri added forward Isaiah Gable to its 2017-2018 roster Wednesday, April 19. Gable averaged 21.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists as Greenville High School's top scorer last season. He garnered First-Team Great Western Ohio Conference honors and was a Third-Team Southwest Ohio All-District selection. Gable earned Division I Academic All-Ohio accolades, as well.

Anderson Named Finalist for NFCA Freshman of the Year Award

Southeast Missouri center fielder Rachel Anderson is among 25 finalists for the 2017 Schutt Sports/NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year Award.
