Cheney Drive, Parking Lot Closures Announced

Cheney Drive from the Boiler Plant to the end of the drive and Lot 3-1 Employee Parking will be closed starting May 15 through July 28 due to the roof replacement at Brandt Hall. There may be times during construction that the pedestrian walkway will also be closed. Facilities Management apologizes for the inconvenience. A map of the closed area is available here. Faculty/Staff Portrait Day Set for May 3

The next Portrait Day is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, in the Aleen Vogel Wehking Alumni Center Room 102 for faculty and staff members wishing to have a portrait-style photograph taken for departmental Web pages or other publications. This is the last Portrait Day of the spring semester. Portrait Days will resume next fall. No appointments are necessary. For more information, call (573) 651-2574.

Retirement Reception May 2 for Drs. Alberta Sautter and Paul Watkins

Dr. Alberta Sautter, professor of middle and secondary education, is retiring after 12 years with Southeast. Dr. Paul Watkins, professor of educational leadership and counseling, is retiring after 15 years with Southeast. A retirement reception for Sautter and Watkins will be held May 2, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom A. Baseball Hosts Tennessee Tech this Weekend

The Redhawk baseball team plays host to Tennessee Tech in a three-game series beginning today, April 28. First pitch has been moved up to a 1 p.m. in an effort to get ahead of forecasted rain. Game two will be Saturday at 2 p.m. with the finale Sunday at 1 p.m. This weekend's scheduled tailgates and ribbon cutting ceremony have also been postponed to a later date because of weather. Video for all three games will be available online at the OVC Digital Network. All games are broadcast live on the radio at ESPN 92.9 FM. Live stats can be accessed at GoSoutheast.com.

Softball Home Finale Cancelled, Redhawks Play Four Games this Weekend

Due to inclement weather, Wednesday's home finale between Southeast Missouri and Saint Louis University was cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

The Redhawks travel to Tennessee State tomorrow, April 29, and Belmont on Sunday, April 30. Both doubleheaders are scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
