Office of Residence Life Temporarily Moving to LaFerla Hall Beginning May 19

Baseball Wraps Up Regular-Season at Home This Week

The Southeast Missouri baseball team wraps up its regular-season at home with a three-game series against Eastern Kentucky. The series begins with a 6 p.m. first pitch on Thursday, May 18. There will be a free tailgate Thursday and Friday. Southeast will then honor its seniors prior to Saturday’s 2 p.m. contest. All games are broadcast live on the radio at ESPN 92.9 FM. Men’s Track Wins OVC Outdoor Title

Southeast Missouri’s men’s track and field team captured its second-straight Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championship on May 13 at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama. The Redhawks scored 182 points to overpower this year’s event. Southeast won its eighth overall conference championship and third in the last four years. Eric Crumpecker was named Coach of the Year. Meanwhile Zach Gordon was named the 2017 Men’s Championship MVP.

Blomquist Tabbed Freshman of the Year

Southeast Missouri's Logan Blomquist was tabbed Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track & Field Male Freshman of the year, the league announced on Thursday, May 11. Blomquist opened the outdoor season by placing in the top-10 in three separate events at the Jaguar Opener, including taking first place in shot put. He would continue to post 18 more top-10 finishes throughout the season. His personal best toss in discus of 174' (53.03m) ranks seventh in the SEMO record books, while his hammer throw mark of 178' (54.26m) holds the eighth spot in school history. His outdoor best shot put mark this season was recently set at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic at 53' 7.75" (16.35m).

 

Redhawks Will Play in Preseason WNIT

Southeast Missouri has been selected as one of 16 teams to take part in the 24th Annual Preseason Women’s Basketball NIT to tip off the 2017-2018 season in November. It will be Southeast's second appearance in the preseason tournament, first since 2003. The Redhawks are one of seven teams in the field making their second appearance.
