Holst and Lees Sign with Gateway Grizzlies

Blomquist Takes Seventh at USATF Junior Outdoor Championships

Southeast Missouri's Logan Blomquist finished seventh in the discus at the 2017 USATF Junior Outdoor Championships on Saturday, June 24. Blomquist recorded a throw of 176' 7" (53.82m) on his third attempt. That throw surpassed his previous best throw of 174' (53.03m). Blomquist now has the sixth and eighth-best discus marks in school history.

Cleveland to Play with Portland in NBA Summer League 

Former Southeast Missouri guard Antonius Cleveland has agreed to play with the Portland Trail Blazers in the upcoming NBA Summer League. Cleveland will play in the Las Vegas Summer League next month. Games will be played July 7-17 at both Cox Pavilion and Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Portland opens its Summer League schedule against the Utah Jazz on Saturday, July 8. That game, which tips off at 5 p.m., will be televised live on ESPNU. Cleveland becomes only the second Southeast player to make a NBA Summer League roster. Forward Tyler Stone played in the 2015 NBA Summer League with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Softball Youth Camps Set for July 17-19

Southeast Missouri's softball program will host a series of youth camps at the Southeast Softball Complex July 17-19. Time is 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. These camps, open to girls ages 7-13, are designed to teach youth area kids more about the game of fast pitch while spending a fun-filled day with SEMO's softball players and coaches. Campers will have the option of attending all three day camps or just one of them. Cost is $50 per day. Cost for all three days is $120. Participants will receive instruction from the Redhawks coaching staff and should bring their own gloves, cleats (if they have them), tennis shoes, lunches/lunch box, water bottles, and any other necessary equipment. Campers should also bring a swim suit, towel and change of clothes for cool down/pool sessions. Southeast Missouri State University camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants, in accordance with NCAA camps and clinics legislation (limited only by number, age, grade level, and /or gender).
