Fall 2017 Career Expo a Success

The Office of Career Services would like to thank the 136 employers and 588 students in attendance at the Fall 2017 Career Expo on Oct. 12. This event serves as a bi-annual reminder of the strength of Southeast students. Students dressed professionally, handed out resumes and took part in on-the-spot interviews. One employer continued interviews after the event on Oct. 12, and seven returned on Oct. 13 to continue conducting interviews. The Spring 2018 Career Expo is scheduled for March 1.

Prices for Mums Now Reduced at Hutson Greenhouse

The Charles Hutson Horticulture Greenhouse has reduced the price on 6-9-inch mums to $3.50. Hanging basket mums are now $5. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The greenhouse is located at 1039 Bertling Street. For more information, call (573) 651-2316.

Reynolds Named OVC Specialist of the Week

Southeast Missouri redshirt-freshman punter Jake Reynolds was named adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Specialist of the Week on Sunday, Oct. 15. A native of Wildwood, Missouri, Reynolds averaged 45.9 yards on seven punts in Southeast's dominating 31-3 victory over Tennessee Tech. He boomed a 78-yard punt in the fourth quarter, marking the longest in the Ohio Valley Conference this season and fourth-longest punt in school history. Reynolds dropped two of his punts inside the 20-yard line. He currently ranks 29th nationally with 41.5 yards per punt.
