Mangels, Patterson Among 2017 Zonta Women of Achievement Nominees

Two Southeast women were among seven 2017 Zonta Women of Achievement nominees at a luncheon today at Ray's Plaza Conference Center in Cape Girardeau. Kathy Mangels, vice president for finance and administration, and Rekha Patterson, head coach of the Southeast women's basketball team, were recognized at the event. Jessica Hill, executive director of the Safe House for Women, was presented with this year's Woman of Achievement Award. Also honored today were the Honorable Mary Russell with a Celebration Award and Wendy Kurka Rust with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Football Ends Season at Home Saturday

The Redhawk football team hosts rival Murray State in its final game of the season on Saturday, Nov. 18. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Houck Field. Sixteen seniors will be honored prior to kickoff. Redhawks Taking Part in Preseason WNIT

The Redhawks headed to George Mason to play two games as part of the Preseason WNIT this weekend. Southeast beat Saint Francis today, 82-50. The Redhawks opponent on Nov. 18  will be the winner of George Mason versus Old Dominion. All games are broadcast live on the radio at ESPN 1220 AM.
