Privilege Walk Scheduled Nov. 29

As part of 16 Days of Activism, a global campaign to end gender-based violence, a Privilege Walk is scheduled for noon Wednesday, Nov. 29, in the Student Recreation Center's West Gym. The Walk is an opportunity to increase social awareness and learn about peer experience with social class, gender, race, sexual orientation and other societal factors. This event is sponsored by the Campus Violence Program Program, LGBTQ+ Resource Center, Redhawks Rising, Golden Z and the Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau.

'Take-Away Friday' Continues Dec. 1 with 'Chair Yoga'

Southeast S-MSTA Food Drive Continues Through Nov. 30

A food drive sponsored by the Southeast Student Missouri State Teachers Association (S-MSTA) continues through Nov. 30. Items may be dropped off in barrels in the College of Education EDvolution Center in Scully Building. The organization's goal is to surpass the 339 pounds of food collected during last year's drive. All food collected will go to the SEMO Food Bank.

Nov. 29 Athenaeum Program: 'Food Scarcity on College Campuses and What Schools are Doing About It'

The Kent Library Athenaeum Series continues at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 29, in Sadie’s Place in Kent Library with a presentation on a summary of the data on the presence of food scarcity/insecurity among college students and a review of how some colleges and universities have responded. Examples of this response include food pantries, partnerships with local not-for-profits, and emergency funding resources for students in need. The event is free and open to the public.

Men’s Basketball Faces Hannibal-LaGrange Tonight

Southeast Missouri’s men’s basketball team will host Hannibal-LaGrange tonight with tipoff set for 6:30 p.m. at the Show Me Center. All games are broadcast live on the radio at ESPN 92.9 FM and Real Rock 99.3 FM. Video for tonight's game is available online at the OVC Digital Network.
