IRS Deadline Extended for 1095-C

Employers are required to furnish employees Form 1095-C Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage document. The 1095-C form is part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that requires employers to provide full-time employees (averaging 30 hours or more per week) documentation of whether health insurance coverage was provided for the calendar year. The original due date for the University to provide Form 1095-C, to employees, was Jan. 31, 2018. The NEW deadline for distribution of Form 1095-C is March 2, 2018. You do not need to wait until you receive Form 1095-C to file your taxes. For additional information, contact the Human Resources office at (573) 651-2206.
