High School Art Exhibit Opening/Awards Ceremony Postponed Till Feb. 18

Due to inclement weather on Sunday, Feb. 11, the opening reception and awards ceremony for the “Exhibiting Excellence: 40th Annual High School Art Exhibition,” an invitational juried art exhibit for 11th and 12th grade students in southeast Missouri and southern Illinois, has been rescheduled for Sunday, Feb. 18. The opening reception is now scheduled for 1-4 p.m. in the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus. Awards will be presented at 3 p.m.

Men’s Basketball Hosts Eastern Illinois Thursday

Southeast Missouri’s men’s basketball team welcomes Eastern Illinois on Thursday, Feb. 15. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Show Me Center.  The Redhawks women’s basketball team hosts Eastern Illinois on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Show Me Center. Mahoney Surpasses 1,000 Career Points; Earns OVC Co-Player of the Week

Southeast Missouri guard/forward Denzel Mahoney was named the adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Co-Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 12. A native of Oviedo, Florida, Mahoney averaged 21 points, four rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, helping SEMO overcome two double-digit deficits en route to a pair of victories last week. He began the week by scoring 15 points and went over 1,000 in his career in a 78-62 win at Morehead State Feb. 8. Two days later, Mahoney dropped in 27 points and made the game-tying 3-pointer with one second left in regulation to send the game to overtime at UT Martin Feb. 10. The Redhawks were down 15 points with a little over nine minutes left in regulation before rallying to beat the Skyhawks.

2018 Football Schedule Announced

Southeast’s football team will play an 11-game schedule with five matchups at Houck Field in 2018. The Redhawks kick off the season at Football Bowl Subdivision and Sun Belt Conference member Arkansas State on Sept. 1. Visit GoSoutheast.com for the complete schedule.

Football Signs 22 Players in NCAA Early and Regular Periods
